I just went to Amazon and bought a copy of “Fundamentally Female.” I’m looking forward to seeing how candid women were. It would be very interesting to later read “Because I’m a girl …,” to check the degree, if any, that girls are more candid than women.
If there was to be a analogous book titled, “Fundamentally Male,” it would be an exceedingly brief booklet, a pamphlet, a greeting card. Men are not nearly so complicated as women. We don’t need to be. Our defining imperative is simpler, much simpler.
I hope a robust cohort of girls contribute to the new book. I will pass the contribution guidelines along to all the girls I know. Thanks for bringing it all to my attention, Ms. C. And you’re right about teenagers. MY son, too, knows it all. At least, he’s smarter than all his teachers and parents. Of course, I was, too.
The nut and the tree again. We’re so sorry, Uncle Albert, but the kettle’s on the boil and we’re so easily called away. Anyone for some butter pie?
