If you read The Forum online – InForum – you know that at the top of the page is a search tool and under the search tool is a hot list for top searches so you can go directly to whatever topical material is most searched at the moment.

Here is what I saw on the top search list yesterday:

Sex toys???  I understand the other hot topics, but sex toys??!!  How can that be a hot search term in good ol’ conservative North Dakota?  I was intrigued, so of course I felt compelled to investigate how sex toys became a hot topic on InForum.

I clicked on the hot link and it took me to a list of 10 articles from the past year that referenced sex toys. 10 – in the past year alone.  Wow, apparently I have been out of the loop.

Apparently, North Dakota has some inner kinky going on.  I wonder, do the Lutheran Ladies know about this?  Do they know that the folks around here fancy sex toys?  Or maybe it is just reading about sex toys.  I wonder have the Lutheran Ladies read Fifty Shades of Grey?  I must confess, I have not.   I have too much other reading to do to be able to squeeze in a fantasy sex romp.  Oh no, not me – my nose is to the grindstone. But lo and behold I look up for a minute and I learn that sex toys was – on Saturday – a top search term on our local paper’s website.  I need to start paying more attention to what is going on.

You never cease to amaze me North Dakota – I guess it isn’t all lutefisk, lefse, and Lutherans after all – there is some kinky goings-on in the nooks and crannies of the state.  Carry-on you wild, crazy folks…and if you see the Lutheran Ladies, tell them they better come up out of the basement and check up on what’s been going on around here.  We are talking sex toys…right here in North Dakota…uff da!
