The womenfolk…

Today I was able to steal away with the womenfolk of Mike’s family (his mother and his sister) for lunch.  It was a lovely opportunity to learn more about Barbara and Michele individually and the family collectively.  I wish we would have had more time.  I would love to be able to have lunch with them weekly.  There really is nothing better than spending dedicated time with strong women who are not afraid to speak their minds.

I like Mike’s family.  They have been gracious in making me feel very comfortable…very non-Focker like. 😉  In spending time with his family I can see where his sense-of-humor and laid-back attitude were fine-tuned.  It is gratifying to see that the things I so enjoy about Mike are so deeply rooted in his family.  They are all cut from the same cloth and it is a nice cloth – a comfortable cloth for me.

I look forward to my next opportunityto spend time with Mike’s family…but especially with the womenfolk…time with them was food for the soul.

  1. I KNEW it would go like this! Couldn’t be any other way with at least one “Gayle” in the group–and it looks like there were three of them in the photo. 🙂
