I have at least two dozen mosquito bites presently. 10 of those are on my ankles and feet. That is low even for mosquitoes – literally and figuratively. I hate mosquito bites on bony areas of my body. Why don’t the little snots aim for something fatty higher up? Hello mosquitoes – how could you miss the junk in my trunk?
Bony areas cannot be scratched with abandon or they scar. Hence I find myself constantly having to remember not to scratch the bites on my feet and ankles despite the unbearable urge to do so. It is a pain in the fanny – well, not really in the fanny because they didn’t have the decency to bite me there (while that might not have been attractive to scratch -I could have at least somewhat addressed the itch). So now I am just biding time hoping the the itch abates.
But, what the mosquitoes who had a meal courtesy of Carol don’t know is that I will have the last laugh. You see I tend toward being a tad anemic so when you start seeing mosquitoes who no longer can find the energy to get their buzz on you’ll know where they have been. You are what you eat you little buggers – next time eat somewhere else. 😉

My daughter ended up with 2 bites with in 1/4 inch of each other on her arm and now her arm is swollen up in that area. It looks horrible. 😦

If you can get to them right away, baking soda past applied to mosquito bites works to ease the itch and draws out their nasty little venom deposits.
