Prepare yourself – I am going to date myself as a card-carrying person in the new forty and a California transplant in one fell swoop.

Today I am going to keep it really simple under the premise that a picture is worth a thousand words…well, more concisely, it is a video today that I provide as a supplement to words.

It is a Dr. Demento video of the song They’re Coming To Take Me Away! Dr. Demento is the original and infinitely more demented version of Weird Al Jankovic.  I grew up hearing him on the radio in Southern California and he is without a doubt – demented.  I note that (the demented part) as the video I have linked is the song I am singing to myself over and over again (particularly the chorus and maniacal laughter) as I am buried in grading today…you draw your own conclusions. 😉
