Reporting back from the Halloween antics today. The good news – no wedding between an overly happy and unusually relaxed hippie chick and cute Texas cowboy occurred. Well, in some cultures I might now be considered married, but not in the U.S.! 😉
The bad news – photos – oh yeah – plenty. Incriminating – oh yeah – sure are. Posted – oh no – not today and even later I will not be posting all of them. Some are a bit too racy for public consumption ( but note, no laws were broken and no animals were harmed in the hell-raising effort).
The other news of the day is that today is the opening day of the International Association of Emergency Managers Conference which is like old home week for me. So many of my favorite EM folks are here and it has been more than a year since I have seen some of them so I am going to be smiling from ear to ear all day. It is so nice to be able to reconnect with folks you haven’t seen for awhile – it rejuvenates the soul.
Just in time too I think. I have been as tired lately as I have ever been with all the projects, events, flooding and fire. To just be able to spend a few days with colleagues and friends you enjoy and to do so in a place replete with cute cowboys – well, that is exactly what the doctor ordered. Now, if only I can stay out of Texas jail I should come home refreshed.
Day four hundred and eighty-three of the new forty – obla di obla da
