Today – June 19, 2010 – at 12:46 AM,  my friends and colleagues, Jessica and Dustin, welcomed their first-born daughter Piper Rose into the world.  To the casual observer she may just look like a newborn baby, but to those of us who know her parents and the folks who will surround her as she grows up into a young woman – well, we know she will emerge as a force to be reckoned with.  She will be fierce and independent and be intent on changing the world.  So mark the date folks…and mark my words…Piper is in the house and life as we know it will never be quite the same…you heard it here first. 🙂
