I have been told many times over the years that I have “spunk”. I like that attribute – I take it as a compliment. Yesterday in the Minneapolis Airport I went to one of my favorite stores – Zozo – and picked up a little book entitled simply Moxie.
Moxie is defined as such (according to those that do such defining): fortitude; determination; fearlessness; spirit; pluck; guts; heart; nerve; pluckiness; daring; backbone; gumption; and of course, spunk.
My moxie book is filled with quotations that evidence moxie. Last time I was out in Emmitsburg in March I explored the concept of Wabi Sabi for a week. This week I think I will use my little book and explore moxie…as I am feeling quite moxie-liscious today and that feeling can only ripen as the week unfolds.
So, let’s start the week with this quotation from Margaret Thatcher:
“If it’s me against 48, I feel sorry for the 48.”
That is exactly how I feel today…unconquerable…unlimited…unstoppable…I am moxie-liscious and I will make no apologies for it…and like Margaret, I’ll take no prisoners. 🙂
