“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.” ~ Arthur Ashe
Today I ask that you honor and remember those soldiers who have given their lives to support the ideals of our country.
Today I ask that you honor and remember the family and friends of those fallen soldiers as well for the burden they have carried by virtue of their loved one’s commitment to country.
Today I ask that you honor and remember the flag by recognizing that it is more than just a decoration to hang on special holidays- it is instead a symbol of all the ideals we hold dear in America and a representation of all the soldiers who have stood to defend it.
Today I ask that you honor and remember the basic tenets and freedoms of America – the tenets and freedoms that so many have given so much to protect.
Today I ask that you honor and remember…tomorrow and all the days that follow I ask that you do not forget the import of what we honor and remember today.
May God bless and watch over all those who serve and their families and friends who likewise make sacrifices in support of America’s military.
