No mansion yet…

I spent a good part of Monday with my son Cory running around doing errands.  As I have said before, all my children have very different personalities, but Cory is by far the funniest kid in the bunch. The other kids are quick-witted and we all share a similar sense-of-humor, but Cory is the kid who was in drama and he can really deliver when it comes to the perfect timing, expression, voice or pose to get the big laugh. He kills me…he really does.

I wish he would have gone into professional acting – he definitely has what it takes to succeed.  I am sure he would have already experienced phenomenal success and purchased a mansion for his mother had he gone straight to Hollywood after high school.   Alas, he discovered a special kinship with creatures and a has a real knack for caring for them.  So now I have a funny kid who knows every conceivable thing about rodents, fish, reptiles, birds, cats and dogs and loves working at the local pet store in the mall.

But what the heck, the laughter he delivers on a regular basis is worth  its weight in gold. It won’t get me that mansion, but it does a lot for my life enjoyment…however, if you think he might be right for a major Hollywood film – call me.  What??  Can’t a mother be an agent??  It’s not like I’d charge him 10%…I’d give him a discount. 😉

Day one hundred and eighty-five of the new forty – obla di obla da
