Mike, Cheyenne, and I went to see Young Frankenstein at The Stage at Island Park this evening. It was put on by Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead. It was a terrific show!
If you have not seen this yet you will want to go to The Stage’s webpage and buy tickets for one of the remaining performances – Saturday (Nov. 2) at 7:30 PM and Sunday (Nov. 3) at 2 PM. Really – go buy tickets now – you can read the rest of this blog entry later (The Stage’s webpage). You’ll be missing a lot if you miss this show.
This show is a musical adaptation of Mel Brooks’ movie of the same name. It is a very funny romp replete with double entendres and playful sexual humor. The show does not have a slow moment in it. The singing, dancing, and humor are nonstop. There are many powerful singers in this show – their voices commanded the room. But even more impressive was the amount and quality of the choreography.
I am telling you folks – Young Frankenstein is a must see. It is clear that an awful lot of work went into this show. Get out and see it while you still have a chance – you’ll be glad you did. 😉
