I like clever humor.  The kind of humor that it may take folks a moment to appreciate…the kind of humor that is brilliant in its simplicity. This is the kind of humor you typically find on specialty t-shirts.  Humor that you’ll see someone wearing in passing and think – hmmmm, now that’s clever.

I am not able to be clever like that.  As much as I appreciate the talent of others, I have not an ounce of it in my body.  Indeed, that may be part and parcel of why I value it so much from others – I don’t view it as something that is easy to come by and that garners my intellectual respect.

This t-shirt below from the Signals catalog is an example of clever humor on a specialty t-shirt.  It cracks me up.  It makes me wish I was a fan of t-shirts.  At least then I could wear clever humor even though I cannot myself produce it.
