I like clever people and I like smart marketing, so when I ran across both on Facebook I thought it was worth noting.
This comes from the Facebook page of Nate, a close friend of my son Noah. Nate is a soldier in the U.S. Army (stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina) and is a great kid from a great family.
A public service announcement from Nate:
The Buckle is a trap.
I went there to buy one pair of jeans and this hot little number rolls up on me. Not a big deal you might think.
I end up buying 3 pairs of jeans, 3 shirts, a necklace, and a watch. I ALREADY HAVE A F**KING WATCH!
I equate it to the same principle as you shouldn’t go grocery shopping when you’re hungry or you’ll end up buying way too much. Don’t go to The Buckle when you’re a single soldier that’s around dudes all day long every day or you’ll get sucked into buying a ton of clothes that look “just amazing” on you.
This is a public service announcement.
On the plus side I’ll be in North Dakota again in 4 days with quite the wardrobe.
Well-put Nate and well-played Buckle. You make a great point Nate and in the process you gave me a good laugh. We’ll be watching for your homecoming – you’ll be easy to spot – the guy coming off the plane looking amazing in clothes from The Buckle. 😉
Day one thousand and eighty-six of the new forty – obla di obla da
