Today I learned from a NDSU colleague that my message to her within the NDSU system was quarantined.  Oh my.  Apparently, my messages cannot be trusted to mingle with the other email messages.  Apparently, in this instance I was recognized as a pariah in the NDSU message system. 

Where did I go wrong?  When did my potential for troublemaking move to the forefront of IT’s radar?  

Thankfully, it appears that I am not being quarantined in all instances within the NDSU system.  It appears I am only a troublemaker worth quarantining in some select areas of the university – others appear to have immunity to me.  Frankly, I am not sure if such immunity is a good thing or a bad thing. 

I must say though that however rare my quarantining experiences may be, I am a tad honored that I am perceived as being such a mighty threat – even if it is just to email.  I often say, I may be small, but I am fierce.  Mike laughs at this – he doesn’t feel intimidated by my belief that I am dangerous – he thinks he has the wherewithal to handle me (sure – let the 6’3″ guy grow complacent…he’ll see…he has to sleep eventually).  Wait until he hears I was quarantined based on my potential to cause damage – validation from technology that I am a threat worth watching.  Small, but fierce and occasionally quarantined…my reputation precedes me – even in email. 😉
