Oh my email…it makes me smile. Today WebMD asked, "How many kids should you have?" The article went on to discuss what the perfect number of kids are for different families, but of course long before I read the article I came up with my own series of answers/counter-questions.
How much hair do you plan to start with and how much do you want to end with?
How many times can you watch the series of classic Disney movies?
How big a worrier are you?
How much do you enjoy doing laundry?
How much do you think you know and are you prepared to grow stupider as time goes on?
How are you at deep breathing?
How many visitors do you want at the nursing home?
How strong is your mental health?
How many bathrooms do you have?
How important is it to you to see the bedroom carpets in your home?
How adept are you at getting gum out of carpet, the dog’s tail and your hair?
How do you feel about really bad soap operas?
How do you feel about bodily fluids?
How are you at the word "no"?
How is that money tree in the backyard doing?
Some day, WebMD is going to ask me to write an article and I will give folks some food for thought on this front. Until then, I think I will hold off on having any more kids…I have enough folks to visit me in the nursing home and one darling son that threatens to send me there daily. 🙂
