Just a few words about one man tonight. One man who has a big job, but who does it with passion, commitment and integrity.
It is not easy to be like that in the day-to-day world because not everyone is that way…not everyone uses integrity as their compass…not everyone can couple their passion with the level of commitment required to see it through to its fruition. I like working with folks like that…folks who are genuine and able to carry a vision through to reality…folks who make you want to go along with them to help change the world one small piece at a time.
I think we tend to only focus in society on the folks who are making big sweeping changes. Sometimes the honest every day efforts go unnoticed while we wait for big splashes, but that should not be the case.
The other day the man I speak of did what was a relatively small thing in his big world of responsibility with his standard level of passion, commitment and integrity. Even in the small moment he rose to the occasion to deliver for one child in a big way. Imagine a world where everyone is like that. Imagine a world where integrity is a given. Imagine a world where the small wins are as important as the big ones.
No, I haven’t been watching the Hallmark channel again. And no, Biggest Loser wasn’t on tonight. I have just been going about my day-to-day life and sometimes in my days – not always – but sometimes, I am reminded of how lucky I am to be able to interact with folks like this man who remind me of how great an impact one person can have by being true, real and caring. So, Lowell Wolff – tonight I applaud your passion, commitment and integrity…you are the man! 😉
