I was purposeful today in waiting to post to my blog as I knew I would be meeting and having lunch today with Rebecca.  Rebecca is Marc’s girlfriend (Marc is one of our grad students at NDSU).  I have been hearing about Rebecca for months now from Marc and could not wait to finally meet her and talk with her in person.  Rebecca lives in the DC area, but is here for a weekend visit.

Just look at them…it’s like a Hallmark commercial.  Yes, I know they are too cute for words in addition to being very bright and shiny.   Marc thinks Rebecca is the cat’s meow.  He is clearly smitten, so I was ever so curious to meet her – finally.  And I must say – I like her.  She is smart, quick-witted and sassy and together they are indeed a power couple.

You gotta’ love it when you see such a great match.  Can you imagine how perfect their children will look?   I may be getting ahead of myself and them though as they are still measuring their relationship in months…but, I am hopeful. 🙂

So, today was day one of knowing Rebecca and officially envisioning the Marc/Rebecca relationship.  I like them as a duo and I think from here forward I will view them as a unit and call them "Mabecca".  Watch out Brangelina there are new kids in town and they are very bright and shiny.
